Danielle, I got chills watching this. How true is that, though? Never give up life, love, pursuit... Anything. Sometimes it takes the strength in the words of someone else to help you realize you, too, have the strength, and that's beautiful. I'm very touched by this song. Thanks for sharing, girl.

Hey, Brett. I wish I could take credit for this! I'm not sure who wrote it. But when my moter was my age, she found this in a newspaper article, cut it out, and promised to give it to her child whenever the time was right. =) Unfortunately, there was no credit awarded in the newspaper, either (at least where she cut it out). It remains in a picture frame by my bed. I read it all the time, and I feel as though I learn something new from it every time I read it. Thanks for the comment, though ...

I love the quote. How true. =) The picture is very fitting, of course. But very artisitc, as well.

I know the very feeling. You should always let your friends know how much you care about them and miss them. Does this friend know, as well?? =/

What would we do without our furry friends? =) She's very pretty. I'm glad you have someone there for you like her, Ericka.

Strength and prayers to you, Brett. This is beautiful. If she means that much to you, you should let her know. We're all behind you on this. You deserve to be happy, and so does she. And I bet you could be the one to make her happy. God Bless, Brettt. =)

  • "Love is friendship caught fire; it is quiet, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection, and makes allowances for human weaknesses. Love is content with the present, hopes for the future, and does not brood over the past. It is the day-in and day-out chronicles of irritations, problems, compromises, small disappointments, big victories, and working toward common goals. If you have love in your life, it can make up for a great many things you lack. If you do not have it, no matter what else there is ...

What a great passage! Indeed, with love, all is accomplishable. Without it, we are all defeated.

  • [This was a response to a mass e-mail from my old dance instructor, Miss Amy. We had just been awarded President's Cup for our ballet performance, Imagine, from Dance Educators of Amerca Semi-Nationals in Knoxville, TN. This was in 2007. Miss Amy send us an e-mail of huge congratulations. She said, "I am truly so fortunate to have this wonderful group of young ladies to teach and choreograph for. I thank you for making my job worthwhile and FUN. Now you leave me thinking - "what am I going to choreograph for you all next?" I will admit my head ...

    Channing:

Both you and Amanda have a way of capturing love and passion into everything you do. I've always said that it takes passion to know passion (Savannah actually says something similar in Dear John, the book, if you've read it). This song moves my heart in a way that I haven't felt in a very long time. The way in which makes me want to get up and dance like I used to years ago, just to feel as though I was helping her compose her music through my movements. Please send Amanda my praise and ...

  • this is my niece, rylee, when she was a little more than one year old. my sister, amanda, and her husband, ryan came and visited my parents and me and stayed the night at our house. rylee and i were playing on the mattress that night forever. that was one of the most fun nights of my life. her laugh is the best sound in the world. and there's not a single girl in this world that smiles like she does. i love being an aunt. =)
