Being a military girlfriend is something so hard and I'd never imagine giving my heart to someone in the armed forces. We hear so much negative feedback from strangers and even our loved ones. Don't know about you, but it ticks me off, so I stand up for my beliefs and my man. So many tells all of the military spouses, even if they are just girlfriends, that it's stupid and it won't work but you know what..?

Love isn't the occupation of the spouses. It's the connection that those two people have for each other. The love I have for him is indescribable. I wish he could see this. He is currently deployed in Afghanistan, it'll be another 5-6 months before I see him again. Life gets so lonely but I wake up smiling hoping to talk to him each other. I don't usually get to talk to him every day but I hope everyday no matter what kind of mood I am in. He is about 9 years older than me but I honestly don't think age matters. He's still the goofiest boy ever but the most handsome & loving man. It gets hard not talking to him for almost weeks at a time but it's that love & connection we have that keeps us strong. He treats me like no one else has and this relationship was so unexpected but isn't love suppose to be that way? I've learned from this to love who you have, to appreciate life & the ones around you because it can be gone in a flash like that. I shouldn't hate couples get to see each other all the time that I see every day but when they fight, I just want to show them how good they have it. This man, this Marine, this wonderful lover, my best friend, and my better half is someone so special to my heart and I love him with all of my soul & heart.
