I haven't been on here for a few days. I have been battling trolls on FB who make fun of individuals with Down syndrome. I feel like it's a losing battle, but I am tired of people saying that my child is a burden on society and should be shot.
My sister told me to protect my heart so I had to come back here to cheer up :-) This is a great place for a hurt heart. Thanks Channing!
your daughter is beautiful and anyone who cant see that should be shot! (ok ok maybe just a firm slap to the face!) people are just stupid suzie, they say things without thinking first. i think youre right, it is a losing battle because there is nothing anyone can say or do to change the mind of a person who doesnt care enough to actually think about what they are saying or how it affects people. shame on them, but props to you for being so strong and loving for youre daughter. i look up to that and give you such respect. stay strong <3
