I haven't seen him for 7 years since his dad, Mike Maltz, a member of the 38th Rescue Squadron, was killed in a Helicopter accident in Ghazni, Afghanistan. His name is Cody Maltz. We were introduced when we were only 6 years of age. I was diagnosed with a combination of both A.D.D. and A.D.H.D at six years of age while Cody had been diagnosed with A.D.H.D. at the exact same age. As we grew to know each other better, we had the biggest crushes on one another that blossomed and bloomed bigger than the petals of a magnolia. He was my first crush, and I was his. My dad and his dad were no doubt, straight up soul brothers. Years went by though and Cody's dad, Mike, died a hero. There is not one day that goes by where Mike isn't on my mind. After losing his dad, Cody and his family moved away. Before he moved, I had given him a picture of myself in a tutu from ballet to remember me by. It wasn't long after Cody moved until I moved far away too. For six years, we had not been in contact. Everyday I still thought of him and his family. I cannot begin to explain how much I love him. I had just turned 17 when I discovered that he had created a myspace account as well as a facebook account. Call me crazy, but facebook was pretty much a blessing to me at that time. It has allowed me to reconnect with him. Cody and I are now both 18 years of age. He still has the picture of me in a tutu that he carried in his wallet. It all sounds cheesy and I know that I'm only 18 years old, but I also know that what I feel for him can stand through time and through distance. If things don't work out, I would be thankful to even just be his friend and if that's not love, then I really don't know what is, because I would give anything to be in those arms of his.
This is an awesome story. Really beautiful, true love =)
That's a very cute and amazing story. I am so glad you guys finally found each other even if it is through myspace and facebook. He never forgot about you either so that is just amazing! I just glad you found him. I was going to say did you try myspace and facebook because thats a great way to make the world a much smaller place! LOL. :) I really like this story! I love the photo! :)

Only you know what love is for you. Don't let anyone have the power to judge your feelings or how valid they are. You know your own heart and so it seems does Cody.
Wow, you've got me being corny now! Good luck to you both<3
